Two engines are available depending on the trim, a 2.4L intercooled turbo 4-cylinder producing 228 or 278 horsepower. The Tacoma Hybrid is available in a 4x4 Double Cab with a 5- or 6-foot box and uses the same 2.4L engine that adds an electric motor that increases the power to 326 horsepower.

Standard features include a skid plate, heated side mirrors, LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, air conditioning, a satellite radio, an 8-inch touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, wireless device connectivity, 3 USB ports, push button start, a 7-inch gauge cluster, and a class IV hitch.
