Certified Pre-Owned vs. used

A Certified Pre-Owned vehicle is a used vehicle that's been inspected and reconditioned, is still covered by a limited warranty, and is purchased from a dealership.

That makes buying certified less risky than buying a non-certified or privately sold used vehicle, which may not have gone through any stringent certification process.

Nissan Certified and Certified Select inspections

Every Nissan Certified vehicle must pass a comprehensive 167-point inspection completed by a Nissan-trained technician. Each one comes with a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™ and a complete Nissan service history review, and all reconditioning is done with Nissan-approved parts. Only after this process can a vehicle be labeled Nissan Certified Pre-Owned.

Certified Select vehicles, which cover a wider range of models, years and mileage, pass an 84-point inspection conducted by the same Nissan-trained technicians.
